Types of Account > Stakeholder Accounts

With this type of account offers your child's money is invested in shares until they reach age 13. This means that they will have upto 13 years to benefit from the growth in the stockmarket. When your child reaches age 13 the money is gradually switched to more secure forms of investment, including government bonds and cash. This reduces risk as your child approaches age 18, when the account matures.

We offer the stakeholder account offered by The Children's Mutual, which initially invests with Insight Investment in a Fund that is designed especially for children's investment and aims to achieve long term capital growth by investing in UK equities.

The Children's Mutual are the only UK company that specialises exclusively in savings for children.

Insight Investment are part of the Lloyds Banking  Group and manage over £88 billion, as at 31st December, 2009 (source: Insight Investment).
